Filippo Ganna had high expectations in the Giro d’Italia, but had to leave sick with Covid. Recovered, the Italian already has a kind of calendar for the second half of the course, where the possibility of knowing the Tour of Spain stands out.
Ganna will ride again in the Tour de Suisse (June 11-15), as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport. He will then be in the Italian nationals (June 22-24) and will go to a concentration at the height of Andorra where the focus will be preparing for the Glasgow World Cup.
“Pippo” will not be in the Tour de France but will loose legs in the Tour de Wallonie (July 22-26). In the World Championships, which will bring together all the cycling specialties this year (and every four years), Ganna would not only do road but track races.
Since the arcobalena event will take place in August, Ganna would like another challenge for the rest of the season, so making his debut in the Vuelta a España (August 26-September 17) is on the table.
