The police and investigators identified the place of purchase of alcohol-containing liquid, which was used in the production of surrogate alcohol in the Orenburg region. “Singe” vodka was made from technical alcohol purchased in Ufa.
As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Orenburg region, a technical inhibitor was used to release a surrogate, which killed dozens of people. This type of alcohol-containing products is used, in particular, for the manufacture of anti-corrosion compounds. We bought it from a company that is officially engaged in the sale of technical fluids.
Now law enforcement officers are investigating the legality of the sale of the dangerous liquid.
As already reported by “RG”, last week the eastern Orenburg region became a hotbed of disaster: a wave of cases of alcohol poisoning of surrogate people swept here. The total number of victims reached 67, of which 34 people died. Nine people were detained on suspicion of manufacturing and selling deadly counterfeit goods.
The criminal case on the mass death of people after consuming counterfeit alcohol, which included the deadly poison methanol, is being investigated by the RF IC.
