ALEX FERGUSON, A LIFE OF TRIUMPH AT MANCHESTER UNITED

A deeply personal and revealing documentary dedicated to the life of Sir Alex Ferguson, from his origins in a working-class family in Glasgow, to his career as a footballer and then as a coach, one of the greatest of all time. Sir Alex is still recovering, following a severe cerebral hemorrhage, when he decides to tell his son about his life, his career as a coach, and of course the long adventure lived for 26 years as a Manchester United manager. A unique experience, which has made him a football legend. Directed by Jason Ferguson, son of Sir Alex, this documentary tells a moving story that proves the extraordinary power of memory.

Alex remembers every moment of his career, every trophy, every defeat and every player. He rebuilds his path as a successful player from the large number of goals scored when playing for Scottish clubs such as Rangers, to the transition to management and leadership of Aberdeen in the Cup Winners’ Cup, and finally his move south to the Old Trafford. After a few years of work on players and team setups at United, he turned the club’s fortunes upside down and led to over two decades of consistent success.

Under Ferguson’s leadership, Manchester United have won a number of coveted trophies, including 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups and two UEFA Champions League titles. He has won more trophies than any other manager in football history.
