Yad Mordechai asks consumers with a milk allergy not to consume pure honey from wild flowers, in a jar or in a squeeze bottle, in all types of weights and sizes, which are marked “It is better to use before” from 02.01.2025 to 14.04.2025
It is important to note that all honey products are safe for consumption for consumers who are not allergic to milk. Following inquiries from honey allergy consumers, it was decided in collaboration with Yahel to perform laboratory tests that resulted in minimal traces of milk protein in one of Yad Mordechai’s honey sources.
These residues are most likely due to the bees, due to the feeding of the bees in milk proteins or inventions near sources with milk.
This honey, which contained traces of milk proteins, originated abroad and is part of the blend that makes up Yad Mordechai honey together with Israeli honey due to a constant shortage of honey in Israel.
The company works to collect the products and add the marking “may contain milk”.
