Member of Parliament Vasudeva Nanayakkara said that the information regarding the new political alliance will be officially announced next month.
Vasudeva Nanayakkara has also mentioned that preliminary talks have been held with the opposition parties regarding the formation of an alliance.

Vasudeva Nanayakkara has said that he has decided to hold talks with the representatives of the Tamil speaking people to carry out political activities by highlighting the northern and eastern provinces.
He pointed out that although the government has taken various measures to postpone the local council elections, it is the responsibility of the people’s representatives to protect the rights of the people of the country.
Political maneuvering
Vasudeva Nanayakkara has said that the government will not make political maneuvers to postpone the election as the issue related to the election has gone to the High Court and if that happens, he expects it.
He also alleged that Ranil Wickramasinghe has been sworn in as the President for 5 months and yet no solution has been found to the problems in the country.
