Meanwhile, the editor-in-chief of the electronic newspaper (Untitled), the Sudanese journalist Abu Bakr Al-Amin, confirmed to (INA) that “Iraq played two wonderful matches in which it deserved to top the fourth group and qualify deservedly for the round of 16,” indicating that “the team has a good group of players capable of Reaching the advanced stages in the tournament.”
Al-Amin explained, “Today’s confrontation against the Vietnam team is an achievement match for Iraq, through which it seeks to enhance its wonderful career in the tournament and move to the next round with full marks.”
Al-Amin continued: “It is expected that Spanish coach Jesus Casas will bring in a new group of players while maintaining the basic composition of the team in order to settle the match early and score an abundance of goals.”
Meanwhile, Japanese sports journalist Ki-Cho Kita expressed his admiration for the great performance shown by the Lions against his country’s national team, saying: “Iraq played with a high fighting spirit and fiercely defended its net and was able to score two goals in the first half of the match and decided the match in its favor despite the continuous attack by the Japanese players.” This is evidence of the high general level of Iraqi players from an organizational, physical and technical standpoint.
