Armenia will appear in Moscow with the second team

On September 7-9, 2012, the 6th international sambo tournament “President’s Cup of the Russian Federation” will be held at the “Berekamutyun” sports complex in Moscow, with the participation of the teams of 8 leading countries of the world: Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, South Korea and Armenia.

Taking into account the fact that the world championships of sambo for teenagers, young people, and adults are ahead, the Sambo Federation of Armenia has decided to send to Moscow not our strongest athletes, world and European champions and prize winners Ashot Danielyan, Vachik Vardanyan, Vahan Vardanyan, Grigor Mkhitaryan. but to appear with a second team, which is also strong enough and has the ambition to record a good result.

Below is the list of samba players who will represent Armenia in Moscow.

Let us add that, as usual, the Armenian national team also includes military athletes who serve in the Central Sports Club of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. There are two of them in this team: Albert Karganya and Tigran Antonyan.
