The device will help to study the bottom and determine the habitats of fish

The first robotic complex in Russia, which will help the fisherman determine the place of effective fishing, was created by scientists from the Astrakhan State Technical University.

The fisherman robot looks like a children’s boat. Equipped with an echo sounder and radio equipment to transmit information to its owner, it will be able to successfully search for fish in reeds, algae and in shallow water.

According to ASTU, in addition to searching for fish and determining its number, the device can be used to study the bottom topography, as well as to detect any moving and static objects under water. For example, with the help of it it will be possible to search for sunken objects, small vessels. You can control the device remotely – from the shore or ship. The robots also came up with a number of additional useful functions: automated feeding of fish, bottom mapping, photo and video shooting, as well as delivery of fishing rods and even small loads to the right place.
