At the point where the body of a man was found this morning, a team from the Department of Criminal Investigations of Thessaloniki is currently present, which will undertake the investigation into the identity of the deceased and the circumstances of his death.
The man’s body was found by an elderly man, who went for his usual walk in the Fronzo forest in the morning and immediately notified the Police.
The man’s head is covered with a plastic bag, while another bag is placed around his legs and reaches up to his waist. A handcuff is placed on his hand, which leads to a gun, with which he was probably shot, as blood has also been found at the scene according to information.
Everything indicates that it is an execution, however safe conclusions will be reached after the investigations in the area and the forensic examination. What is surprising, however, is that the body was found in the middle of the forest road, very close to Captain Lepenioti Street. The investigation will also answer whether his death occurred at the scene or somewhere else and his body was taken there.
