The Government of Mendoza announced that registration is now open for producers who wish to access credits of up to $30 million to mitigate climate risk and manage water resources.

This is the Cultivar program, whose funds come from the Federal Investment Council and will be available until December 31, 2024.

Requirements

The documentation to be presented varies depending on the type of guarantee. Credit amounts

Up to $1,500,000 for those applicants who can prove a minimum asset ratio of 1 to 1. Over $1,500,000 and up to $3,000,000, the asset ratio must be 1.5 to 1. Over $3,000,000 and up to $20,000. 000 for those applicants who can prove a minimum asset ratio of 2 to 1. Credits with guarantees from SGR or Provincial Guarantee Fund (see www.cfi.org.ar/financing): up to $30,000,000, without requirement of asset relationship.

Terms, rates and financing

Financing for up to 60 months, including up to 12 months of grace Rates for loans up to $1,000,000: Variable compensatory rate, equivalent to 50% of the Annual Nominal Miscellaneous General Portfolio Active Rate in Pesos of the BNA, plus 2 percentage points and subsidized at 50 %. Rates for loans over $1,000,000: Variable compensatory rate, equivalent to 50% of the Annual Nominal Miscellaneous General Portfolio Active Rate in Pesos of the BNA, plus 2 percentage points.

Financing: up to 80% of the investment to be made.

About guarantees

Amounts up to $1,000,000: with a single signature or personal guarantee, to the satisfaction of the CFI and the Financial Agent. Amounts greater than $1,000,000 and up to $10,000,000: real guarantees, which may be pledges, mortgages or guarantees from SGR or Provincial Guarantee Fund (see www.cfi.org.ar/financing) Amounts greater than $10,000,000 and up to $20,000,000: mortgage guarantees or guarantees from SGR or Provincial Guarantee Fund (see www.cfi.org.ar/financing). Amounts greater than $20,000,000 and up to $30,000,000: guarantees from SGR or Provincial Guarantee Fund (consult www.cfi.org.ar/financing).

Destination of funds

Irrigation equipment: complete irrigation equipment (drip, sprinkling, micro-sprinkling, front pivot-advance, also those called pulse or sleeve irrigation). This includes the electrical panel, pumping and filtering head, main and secondary pipes, valves, laterals and accessories, among others. It includes the possibility of partial acquisition of supplies for this equipment, such as the replacement of laterals or irrigation tapes whose useful life has expired. Pipelines, reservoirs and their waterproofing. Catchment works. Solar energy systems for irrigation pumps. Repairs and improvements to existing works are also contemplated. Construction and arrangement of boreholes: involves the construction until operation of boreholes for the extraction of groundwater for agricultural and livestock purposes. It also incorporates the financing of partial repair or improvements of these. Water availability for livestock: water storage and provision systems for livestock. Anti-hail mesh (mesh, structure, accessories and labor) Anti-frost equipment: irrigation equipment, complementary works and sub-tree or supra-tree sprinkler irrigation systems for protection against frost, return burners, turbines and fans.
