The Management Board of the State Fund for Agriculture (the Board of the State Fund for Agriculture) approved a total financial resource of up to BGN 54.6 million (BGN 54,620,418) under the interventions for Transitional national aid for cattlenot linked to production (PNG1) and for Transitional National Aid for ewes and production-linked female goats (PNG3) for Campaign 2023 aimed at supporting livestock producers.
The general budget is determined on the basis of the submitted applications for the two interventions in 2023. Up to BGN 32,064,363 is intended for the payment of assistance under the intervention for Transitional National Assistance for Cattle, not linked to production. According to the second intervention – for Transitional National Aid for mother sheep and mother goats, tied to production, the approved funds are in the amount of up to BGN 22,556,055.
The financial support for the two interventions has been confirmed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/2115 of the EP and of the Council of 2 December 2021 establishing rules for support under the prepared Strategic Plans for the CAP. It states that transitional national aid can only be granted to sectors that received national top-ups in 2013.
In 2023, the financial package for each of the Transitional National Assistance schemes can reach a maximum of 50% of the package of the corresponding national top-up scheme in 2013.
