BOLZANO. For just over a year, the municipal police of Bolzano has set up its own specialist unit dedicated to the control of road transport, a sector which, especially in recent years, has required ever greater specialization and attention with respect to road traffic.
In recent days, a core patrol intercepted a truck in the industrial area carrying pipes destined for a road construction site in the capital. Stopping the vehicle and carrying out the appropriate checks on the travel documentation, the agents ascertained that the transport violated the requirements contained in the authorization of the Province for exceptional transport.
The load in fact had a rear projection greater than the authorized one, it did not have the technical escort and had a front projection that was not permitted. The driver was charged with the withdrawal of the driving license (with suspension from 15 to 30 days), the registration certificate of the vehicle (suspension from 1 to 2 months) and the fine of 794 euros.
