Motorists escape beheading from Katana attack at Wayanad Thirunelli. The car, which was returning home last night, sped off in front of passengers. Sudheesh, a native of Thirunelli Appapara, was caught on dash camera in his car. Sudheesh’s neighbors were women and children in the vehicle. The horn hit the residential area on the way from Nagamana to Akkolli at 10.40 last night. He tried to attack several times alone but the passengers remained in the vehicle with restraint. Sudheesh’s car was moving forward as soon as the elephant jumped again and climbed into the nearby garden. Sudheesh was traveling in a car when the women and children of the neighborhood were on their way home on foot. In the Thirunelli Appapara area, the locals are facing severe wildlife disturbance. There are also complaints of inadequate defense systems at forest borders.
