CaixaForum Girona welcomes more than 71,000 visitors during 2023, 5.1% more than the previous year

The “la Caixa” Foundation took stock this Tuesday of attendance at its centers and its cultural and scientific exhibitions during 2023. A total of 4,349,926 visitors filled the centers CaixaForum and the CosmoCaixa Science Museumand 3,807,567, the traveling exhibitions promoted by the ”la Caixa” Foundation in 73 cities throughout Spain during this last year, which represents a global increase of 13.19% compared to the previous year.

CaixaForum Girona has welcomed a total of 71,082 visitors during 2023, 5.1% more than in 2022, when the center received 67,632 visitors. The most viewed exhibition has been Talking Brains. Scheduled to talk, with 22,365 visitors who were able to delve into the brain from the point of view of language, in a fascinating journey through the lenses of neuroscience, biology and evolution. The second show with the highest attendance was Homo Ludens Video games to understand the presentwhich will remain valid until February 18 and which already has 11,113 visitors.

Regarding the total of the centers of Catalonia (CaixaForum Barcelona, ​​CosmoCaixa Science Museum, CaixaForum Girona, CaixaForum Lleida, CaixaForum Tarragona and CaixaForum Macaya), in 2023 they have received 2,044,704 visitors.

The Deputy Director General of the ”la Caixa” Foundation, Elisa Duran, has made a positive assessment of the 2023 data from the network of centers: “We are very satisfied with the audience indicators for this edition. The CaixaForum network has presented for the current year 34 exhibition titles that can be visited at the CaixaForum centers and the CosmoCaixa Science Museum, and that will travel to more than 80 cities in Spain and Portugal.
