Berlin – For many, Armin Laschet is simply a bad loser these days, others admire his stamina. The rain therefore matched the current gloomy mood in the party when the Union chancellor candidate and his ten-person exploration team met with the Greens on Tuesday on the Euref campus in Berlin. Those who expected groundbreaking results were disappointed. Only one thing: The Greens and the Union also saw a lot of overlap after the talks – especially in the climate. That doesn’t mean Jamaica is completely off the table. It is still unclear whether Armin Laschet still has to fear for his political survival because he failed as a candidate for chancellor.
