The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia informs that from today certain exceptions are defined between Armenia and Iran regarding the transportation of goods of economic importance between the two countries.
Due to the need to define the additional goods to be transported within the framework of humanitarian aid and the procedure for their transportation, changes were made in the decision of the Government of February 24, 2020, which allows the circulation of certain types of raw materials between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Iran.
Transportation will be carried out through transshipment in the area between the administrative building of the “Meghri” crossing point and the bridge, under the supervision of the State Revenue Committee, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia and the National Security Service.
Traders operating under these product codes must apply to the State Revenue Committee, which, after receiving the approval of the Ministry of Economy, authorizes the transportation of goods.
Earlier, transportation of some medical products was allowed.
