Under the patronage of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Plc and under the management of Electronic Media Marketing Association of Bangladesh (IMA), the ‘Walton-IMA Media Cup Cricket Tournament-2024’ is going on at Udayachal Park, Mohammadpur.

The quarter finals of the competition have already ended. Green TV, Channel I and Deepta TV have confirmed the semi-finals.

Today Friday (March 08) in the quarter final match against Vijay TV, Green TV batted first and scored 138 runs for 2 wickets in 10 overs. In reply, Vijay TV lost all wickets and stopped at 134 runs. Green TV’s semi-final was confirmed by winning by only 4 runs. Green TV’s Sarwar was the man of the match.

Deepta TV wins another quarter final against Channel 24. They batted first and scored 168 runs losing 7 wickets in 10 overs. In reply, Channel 24 were all out for 108 runs in 8.3 overs. Deepta TV entered the last four with a big win of 60 runs.

Meanwhile, Channel I entered the semi-finals with a big win against Jamuna TV. They batted first and scored 190 runs losing 4 wickets in 10 overs. In reply, Jamuna TV could not score more than 109 runs after losing 4 wickets. Channel I entered the semis with a huge win of 81 runs. Their man of the match is Rahul.

This year’s Walton-Ima Media Cup cricket tournament was attended by the staff of 24 private television stations in the country. 24 teams are divided into 8 groups in group stage.

In ‘B’ group – Gun Bangla TV, Nexus TV and Anand TV.
In ‘C’ group – Independent TV, Durant TV and Vijay TV.
Group ‘D’ – DBC News, Channel24 and Time TV.
In ‘E’ group- Jamuna TV, ATN Bangla and Mohana TV.
In ‘F’ group – Bangla TV, Channel I and Channel Nine.
In ‘G’ group – Green TV, Ekushey Television and SA TV.
In ‘H’ group – Global TV, Banglavision and Deepta TV.
