After the Greens won 2:3 in the first game and qualifying for the group stage became a real dream, the Israeli champion requested to postpone the game in the first round of the Premier League against Bnei Sakhnin, in order to reduce the load.
In Serbia, they did not remain indifferent to the fact that the management and the association helped the Greens in their request to postpone the game in order to arrive fresher for the important battle in Belgrade: “Chaos in Israel – the minister of sports had to intervene, in order to help Maccabi Haifa and give Franzi Piero, who tortured the Red Star, more time to recover.”
In Serbia, they also lingered over Bnei Sakhnin’s claim that when it was a request to postpone their game against Maccabi Netanya because it was affected by Corona, the match was not postponed and the team conceded seven goals with a secondary squad: “This has become a goal in Israeli football to help Haifa advance to the Champions League.”
Meanwhile, in Serbia, they also refer to the “hell” that awaits Barak Becher’s team in Belgrade, when according to local media estimates no less than 35,000 tickets were sold, when the expectation is for a full stadium of 53,000 fans at the Raiko Mitic Stadium, where there will be a special setting for the match.
