China successfully tested its reusable spacecraft, which returned to Earth after 276 days in orbit. It is reported by China Daily with reference to the China Space Science and Technology Corporation (CASC).

According to China Daily, the successful test is a “major breakthrough” in China’s reusable spacecraft. The device was launched from the Jiuquan spaceport in August 2022. CASC’s mission was to “test reusable and in-orbit service technologies, laying the technological foundation for the peaceful uses of space.” No other details are given.

According to China Daily, China has published the results of a test run of the device for the second time. It was first reported in September 2020. Then the reusable spacecraft was in orbit for less than two days.
