The United States has urged China to abide by international law.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has said the United States does not want the Cold War with China to continue.
Speaking at George Washington University in Washington on US policy on China, Blinken said the United States is committed to strengthening international law, treaties, policies, and organizations seeking peace and security.
He spoke in support of the US Alliance for Democracy, but said that maintaining some independence was important for India.
