The parties to the contact group on Donbass agreed to return to full compliance with the ceasefire in the region. This was stated by the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak.
In his Facébook, he wrote that “months of efforts to return to full compliance with the ceasefire have borne fruit.” The ceasefire will now take place on July 22, 2020. “This is a step towards de-escalation in the east,” Yermak added.
According to him, there is hope that “this time the ceasefire will be sustainable and help save the lives of Ukraine’s defenders and civilians.” This means the January holidays should be peaceful.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that American private military companies (PMCs) operate in Ukraine. At the same time, he did not rule out that the Americans could arrange a provocation with chemical weapons.
Later, the DPR confirmed the data on the supply of containers with chemical weapons by the United States to Ukraine. This was announced by the official representative of the People’s Militia of the DPR Eduard Basurin. According to him, the received boxes were later transferred to the contact line in Donbass.
