New Delhi: Cisco, one of the world’s largest ‘networking’ services companies, has laid off 700 employees.

In this regard, the company said in a statement:

A total of 673 employees have been laid off so far as part of the business restructuring measures. This includes 371 technical staff, including two vice presidents at headquarters.

In the San Francisco office alone, 80 employees were laid off.

It has been reported.

It is noteworthy that last November, Cisco announced that it would lay off 5 percent of its total workforce, i.e., more than 4,000 employees.

Goldman Sachs

Due to the global economic uncertainty, many leading companies have embarked on layoffs in recent times. Last week, e-commerce giant Amazon announced plans to lay off 18,000 employees.

Following this, reports have surfaced that Goldman Sachs, a financial services company, is planning to lay off 3,200 people. It is said that the company is planning to carry out this layoff in all departments of the company. The company has not made any official announcement regarding this. However, 3,200 people may be laid off, according to Bloomberg.
