BEIJING: Corona infections are on the rise in the southern Chinese coastal city of Macau. The residential areas have since been sealed. Controls have been re-intensified in China, where the corona first spread. A total of 2,25,487 people in the country are affected by corona. A new case of coronavirus has been reported in 39 people in the southern Chinese city of Macau. Authorities have since sealed off more than a dozen residential areas.
The China Daily reported that people were barred from leaving the area. More than 5,000 people in the city have been isolated. Bars, theaters, saloons and parks were closed. More than 600,000 residents in Macau are reported to have been tested for the corona virus. In this context, there have been complaints that vaccines made in China do not control the corona. Studies show that people who have already been vaccinated are more susceptible to new infections.
