Jaipur: The Rajasthan Royals are the team that harvested the stars in the last moments of the IPL 2022 mega star auction (IPL Auction 2022). In the last hour, the Royals team, led by Malayalee Sanju Samson and coached by legendary Kumar Sangakkara, stunned the superstars in Ranchi. After the auction, Sanju and Rajasthan welcomed the new players to the team with dance steps.
The edited version of the song ‘Om Shanti Om’ has appeared on social media as the Rajasthan Royals’ welcome song for newcomers. Rajasthan has released a royal video of Shah Rukh Khan being replaced by Sanju Samson. Coach Kumar Sangakkara also appears as a dancer in the video along with newcomers Ravichandran Ashwin, Trend Bolt, Shimron Hetmeyer, Jimmy Neesham and Yusvendra Chahal. The song of Rajasthan Royals has already gone viral.
The Rajasthan Royals, who did not shine much after winning their first season in the IPL, are hoping to field the best players this season.
Apart from Sanju Samson, the Rajasthan Royals have retained England wicketkeeper-batsman Jose Butler and young Indian opener Yashaswi Jaiswal. Rajasthan has set aside Rs 14 crore for Sanju. Sangakkara himself had made it clear that he sees Sanju as a long-time Rajasthan captain. ‘Sanju is an extraordinary player. “He continues to prove that he is a great asset to the team with his excellent performances each season,” Sanga said.

The Rajasthan Royals had fielded Neesham, Daryl Mitchell, Coulter Nile and Rossi Wander Dawson in the final moments of the auction.
