Scotland and Wales provide £100m aid to Ukraine

Scotland and Wales have approved security aid to Ukraine worth a total of £100million, according to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. “Wales have contributed £35m to our military support for Ukraine, and Welsh families have taken in 3,000 refugees,” Johnson tweeted. He added that £65million has been provided by Scotland, which has also pledged to accept refugees from Ukraine. In total, the UK has provided £2.3 billion in aid and to help house 6,000 Ukrainian refugees. In addition, the British Prime Minister confirmed that the British project to train Ukrainian troops has already started. Since April, thousands of Ukrainian servicemen have been trained in the use of foreign-made weapons and military equipment.
