Chennai: Actors Kamal Haasan and Akshay Kumar have appealed not to divide the film industry into North and South. Speaking on the occasion in Mumbai, Akshay Kumar said, “The debate between the South and the North has intensified. The media should stop this. Every film is made in the hope that it will succeed. I hate it if someone divides South Indian cinema into North Indian cinema. Also, I do not agree with Pan India films. All languages are valuable. There is no need to worry about that. ‘ Kamal Haasan, who attended the Cannes Film Festival, said, ‘I always see myself as Indian. I can be comfortable in any part of India. That is the beauty of a country as diverse as India. I know the immense talents that exist in the North and the South. So it should not be separated. ‘
