Land and Tourism Minister Harin Fernando said it was commendable that Ranil Wickremesinghe had accepted the post of Prime Minister amid the current crisis in the country.
Speaking at a press conference today (20), the Minister further said that the decision was taken despite the opposition being in view of the economic crisis in the country.
All political parties must understand and act on the need for party politics or a solution acceptable to the people in the current context of the country. He said people should not act politically divisive in this case of waiting in line.
Do not do politics in a crisis situation. Minister Harin Fernando said on all occasions that everyone should unite to build the country.
He further added that the decision was taken on behalf of the United People’s Power. Minister Harin Fernando said that only a capable leader can save the country from the economic storm.
