New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye’s wife, Ann Michael Maye, is responding to online chatter comparing her popularity to that of Tom Brady’s ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen.

During a conversation with Dave Portnoy as part of her new program, “Beyond Bakemas,” Maye addressed the comments she’s seen on her immensely popular TikTok page. Portnoy noted that some fans were “taking shots” at Bündchen.
“Yeah,it’s always,’Gisele could never,’ ‘Gisele would never,'” Mrs. Maye responded in a clip shared by NBC Sports Boston. “She’s pretty good,guys,it’s okay.”
Bündchen, 45, was a prominent figure supporting Brady, 48, throughout his 20 seasons with the New England Patriots, where he secured six Super Bowl victories. Brady later won his final championship in February 2021 while playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a year before he and Bündchen announced thier divorce after 13 years of marriage. Bündchen has as married jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente.
The Patriots began a new chapter after brady’s departure, selecting Maye, 23, with the third overall pick in the 2024 draft.
New England experienced a remarkable turnaround following Maye’s rookie season, finishing with a 4-13 record. The quarterback threw for 31 touchdowns against only eight interceptions under coach Mike Vrabel.
As the Patriots’ performance improved in 2025,so did the popularity of both Maye and his wife. Ann Michael Maye became an internet sensation in December with her festive “Bakemas” series.
The Patriots continued their winning streak Sunday in Maye’s playoff debut, defeating the Chargers 16-3 in a wild-card game at home.
New England, the No. 2 seed in the AFC, will host the winner of Monday’s Steelers-Texans matchup in the divisional round next weekend.
