Dubai has waived ticket fees for events

by time news

Dubai: The government of Dubai has waived the special fee charged proportionally to the ticket price of events. The important move is aimed at increasing the profits of event organizers in the emirate. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has issued an order relaxing the law in this regard.

With this, it is estimated that Dubai will become a venue for more international and regional events. The Department of Finance and Tourism charged a fee of 10 percent or Dh10 per guest, based on the actual or estimated value of the ticket sold. This is omitted.

Meanwhile, the authorities have clarified that they will continue to charge for annual subscription to e-permit and e-ticketing systems. With the new law amendment, it is expected that the ticket price of many programs will decrease. The new change is part of the Dubai Economic Agenda-D33 to cement the emirate’s position as one of the world’s top three cities.
