New Delhi: It has been reported that Elon Musk’s ‘Starlink’ service, which provides internet service through satellite, is going to provide its service in India. It has also been informed that the government is going to give permission for this as soon as possible.
Space-X is a company headquartered in the United States of America. Through its Starlink project, the company is providing high-speed internet service through satellite in about 70 countries. Space-X has also received approval for the same. The company aims to expand this service worldwide. In this case, it has been reported that Starlink internet service is going to be launched in India.
Before this, the information about Starlink service in India has been published several times. Recently, it was reported that Vodafone Idea (VI), one of India’s private telecom companies, is going to tie up with Starlink commercially. VI had submitted an explanation on the same to SEBI.
In this case, it is reported that Starlink has received the trust of the Indian Industry and Domestic Trade Development Department. Starlink is the third company after Jio Satellite Communications and OneWeb to be licensed for satellite-based communications services. The license is expected to usher in a new type of development in the Indian telecom industry. It is also reported that the license for this is in the final stage. It is said that permission will be given after the relevant officials of telecom and communication sectors return to India from abroad.
