Former Chelsea player compared himself to several football stars
Once one of the biggest promises in national and world football, Fábio Paim was trained at Sporting and ended up at Chelsea.
Afterwards, the striker’s career took a nosedive, but that doesn’t stop him from thinking that, at 18 years old, he was a better player than Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, Eden Hazard, among many other stars who made their careers at the top of European football, such as he stated in an interview with Marco Jesus on the social network Instagram.
After leaving Chelsea, Paim played for clubs in Angola, Qatar, Lithuania, Malta, Luxembourg and Brazil. The last team he represented in Portugal was the Leixões B team, in the 2017/18 season.
Recently, Paim had already compared his career to that of Ronaldo, who he met while training for the Lions, something that prompted a response from the captain of the national team.
The former player guarantees that he was better than Ronaldo: “I think you should give me one of your Ballon d’Ors.”
