Football player Priya’s death: 2 doctors sacked – Ma. Subramanian

CHENNAI: Minister of People’s Welfare Department M. Subramanian, who has said that the death of football player Priya is an irreparable loss, said that two doctors have been dismissed from their posts on the complaint that they acted carelessly in this matter.

Football player Priya (17) who was undergoing treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital in Chennai after her leg was amputated due to wrong treatment, died today.

Chondav Ravi Kumar of Vyazabadi, Chennai. His daughter Priya (17) was studying sports at Ranimary College, Chennai. Also, participated in football tournament, district and state level tournaments.

The minister who met the media today in Chennai and gave an explanation about Priya’s death. Subramanian, the blood flow in Priya’s body was obstructed due to the bandage applied during the joint surgery. It has been revealed that the doctors’ negligence was the cause of Priya’s death. 2 doctors have been dismissed for negligence.

Departmental action will also be taken against the doctors who gave wrong treatment. Priya’s death is an irreparable loss. The minister said that Rs 10 lakh relief will be given to the family of football player Priya on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government.
