An old man was arrested in Poland after lodging a complaint about the stench emanating from his house caused by a 100-year-old mummy. The police initiated an investigation and discovered that the chemicals used in the mummification process had been acquired from online sources. Additionally, they found that the man had preserved the corpse all by himself, raising suspicions about the motive behind his actions. The identity of the body was confirmed to be the man’s mother, as her grave was found to be empty. As a result, he has been referred to a psychiatrist for treatment and further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Mummy
The man lodged a complaint at the police station because of the stench coming from the house + this mummy figure. The police started an investigation based on the complaint and started searching the house. This old man did not expect this. So he strongly opposed the action of the police. But as the police expected, there was a mummy. They never expected this. Then they seized the mummy and sent it for examination. And many things were found in the house of the old man.
Chemicals
In other words, the chemicals used to process this mummy, perfumes that are too strong to detect the smell, have all been captured. Local police officials said, ‘We got some information from online home sellers. We didn’t believe this at first. However, we conducted an investigation based on the complaint. That’s when we were in for a shock. I mean we found that mummy which is about 100 years old. Surprisingly, the mummy was completely preserved.

So we looked for chemicals for this. As expected, expensive chemicals and perfumes were recovered from the house. Another thing that makes us suspicious is that this 72-year-old man did it alone. How is this possible? The second thing is who this corpse belongs to. The old man did not say this in the investigation. So we dug up the grave where his mother was buried. The mother’s body was not found. So it was confirmed that the body belonged to the old man’s mother.
Psychiatric treatment
The old man is now under our protection. The court said that he should be referred to a good psychiatrist for treatment. So the old man is soon admitted for psychiatric treatment. He will then be interrogated. Also has anyone helped him? We are also investigating the matter’, they said.
