President Xi Jinping of China and Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin on the occasion of the Great Independence Day respectively. Sahabuddin and congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Xi Jinping said in his greeting message, Bangladesh has steadfastly upheld its independence in the past 53 years. Efforts have been made to develop the economy and improve the livelihood of the people and have made significant achievements by laying a solid foundation to realize the dream of ‘Golden Bangla’.
The Chinese President noted that China and Bangladesh are traditional friendly neighbors and the friendship between the two countries has become stronger. In recent years, our two countries have enjoyed strong and deep political trust and fruitful practical cooperation in various fields, which have brought tangible benefits to the two peoples.
Xi Jinping said he attaches great importance to the development of China-Bangladesh relations and is ready to work together to advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and deepen China-Bangladesh strategic partnership of cooperation.
On the same day, Prime Minister Li Qiang of the State Council of China and member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi respectively Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan sent a separate congratulatory message to Mahmud.
Meanwhile, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said in a letter to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, “On behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation and myself, congratulations on the occasion of the National and Independence Day of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.”
He said that Russia-Bangladesh relations are developing in the spirit of friendship and mutual respect, trade and economic cooperation are progressing and in view of this, various joint projects are being implemented.
The Russian Prime Minister said that if the two countries work together, the friendship will be stronger and the interests of both will be protected.
The Russian Prime Minister wished Sheikh Hasina good health and new success in her responsible work and happiness and prosperity of the Bangladeshi people.
