The actress has now revealed that Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello’s marriage fell apart because of an unfulfilled desire to have children.

The end of the Hollywood star’s relationship and marriage Sofía Vergara (51) and “Magic Mike” actor Joe Manganiello (47) were one of the most surprising celebrity separations of the past year. Manganiello filed for divorce in July due to “irreconcilable differences.” But even back then, US media speculated that the 47-year-old’s desire to have children was the real reason for the end of love. “Modern Family” star Vergara has now confirmed that this is actually the case.

The 51-year-old, who will be appearing in the Netflix series “Griselda” in just a few days, very similar to “El País”: “My marriage fell apart because my husband was younger. He wanted to have children and I didn’t want to be an old mother. I don’t think that’s fair to the baby. I respect anyone who does that, but that’s nothing more for me.”

Vergara further points out that she already has a 32-year-old son from her first marriage, while Manganiello still has no children. “I’m ready to be a grandmother and not a mother,” said the Hollywood star, referring to his son Manolo. She herself is “almost in menopause” and remarks about a possible grandchild: “When my son becomes a father, he should bring the baby to me for a while and then I will give it back to him and move on with my life.” This is “the natural course of things.”

Joe Manganiello is dating again

Vergara and Manganiello, who were considered a Hollywood dream couple, filed for divorce in their seventh year of marriage. The actor, also known from the vampire series “True Blood,” has now been taken again. In December, Manganiello appeared on the red carpet in New York with his new partner Caitlin O’Connor (34). In September, around two months after filing for divorce, the couple was spotted together in public for the first time.
