Honor launches its new X40 phone aimed at youth

The Chinese company “Honor” launched its new phone “X40”, as its latest smart device targeting young people, which comes in the budget-friendly economic category.

The phone comes with an elegant and attractive design similar to the flagship phones of the Chinese company.

The Honor X40 features a 6.67-inch AMOLED curved screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and support for 1.07 billion colors.

Honor claims the screen can produce 800 nits of peak brightness. The screen supports “PWM” dimming at a rate of 1920 Hz.

The phone is powered by an average octa-core processor of the “Snapdragon 695” type developed by the American company “Qualcomm”, paired with an “Adreno 619” graphic processor.

The phone works on the “Android 12” operating system with the traditional “Honer” interface from the “Magic UI 6.1” version.

The processor works with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of built-in storage.

According to Honor, up to 7GB of RAM can be added via unused storage space to provide a 19GB experience.

In terms of means of communication, the Honor X40 supports the fifth generation (5G), the fourth generation (4G or LTE), dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 + 5 GHz), Bluetooth v5.1 and GPS. And a USB Type-C port.

The phone includes “gravity”, “gyroscope”, “compass”, “ambient light” and “proximity” sensors.

And for biometric security, the phone has a fingerprint scanner built into the screen and two-dimensional facial recognition.

The phone contains a 5100 mAh battery, which supports 40W fast charging, and the phone weighs about 172 grams.

For photography, it features a dual rear camera setup in a large circular shape with an LED flash unit.

The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f / 1.8 lens slot, and another 2-megapixel macro sensor with an f / 2.4 lens slot. On the front, the camera is equipped with an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Chinese company “Honor” has set the price of the basic version of the “X40” phone, which comes with 6 RAM and 128 GB of storage space at $ 214, while the highest version in the lineup (12 RAM + 256) comes at a price of $ 328.

The phone is available in silver, green and black color options.
