Owning a house is the dream of many people. But what if the opportunity comes to own an entire village with the money of putting up a house with modern facilities. Such an opportunity is ready in Spain.

It is a village with a hotel, school, church and a municipal swimming pool. The name of the village is Salto de Castro, located on the border of Spain and Portugal. This 44-house village can be had for €2,27,000 (Rs 2.1 crore). The only problem is that this place has been uninhabited for the last 30 years.

In the 1950s, a power generation company housed workers who came to build the reservoir in this village. After the construction of the reservoir was completed, the workers left here. The village has remained uninhabited for decades. The village is currently advertised for sale on a real estate website in Spain. The website has one more condition. The investment required to make the village 100% operational and profitable is not to exceed two million euros.

In 2000, someone bought this place for a price. He acquired the village with the intention of making the area a tourist center with many amenities. But he could not realize this dream. And so the village is now up for sale.
