Pakistan’s all-rounder Imad Wasim announced that he would quit the national team jersey out of anger. After that the discussion continued about him. Meanwhile, Imad performed well in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). As a result, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) started thinking about him. Finally got good news. This all-rounder is returning to the national team after retirement.

Imad gave a statement on Saturday (March 23) regarding the retirement. There he wrote, ‘After discussion with PCB officials I am reconsidering my retirement. I confirm my presence in Pakistan cricket in this (T20) edition before the 2024 T20 World Cup.’

Imad also wrote, ‘I want to thank the PCB for trusting me. I will give my best to do something good for the country. Pakistan comes first to me.’

Imad played for Islamabad United in PSL. Imad’s all-round skills made the team the champion. Their captain Shadab Khan immediately highlighted the need for Imad in the national team. All in all, the PCB also took the initiative to talk to Imad about his retirement.

Imad last played for the national team more than a year ago. After that he is playing great in the domestic T20 league of different countries. Among them, he played well in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He has taken 61 wickets at an average of 18.88 and an economy rate of 6.20 in the CPL. And that is why Pakistan took the initiative to return him. Because this year’s T20 World Cup is being held in the United States and West Indies.
