The number of people suffering from corona and undergoing treatment across Tamil Nadu has come down to 6,979.

The Medical and Public Welfare Department has released a report on the current state of corona infection in Tamil Nadu. Accordingly, 604 people have been confirmed infected in Tamil Nadu today.
A maximum of 136 people have been diagnosed with corona infection in Chennai today. Corona affected 94 people in Coimbatore district, 47 in Erode, 43 in Chengalpattu and 48 in Tirupur.
The total number of corona confirmed persons in the state has increased to 27 lakh 41 thousand 617. Today 695 people have been discharged after treatment in a single day. Thus the total number of people recovering from corona in Tamil Nadu has increased to 26 lakh 97 thousand 939.
No new cases were reported in Ariyalur, Mayiladuthurai, Perambalur, Ranipettai, Tenkasi and Theni districts today.
Eight people have died in a single day today due to the corona virus infection. As a result, the death toll from corona in Tamil Nadu has risen to 36,699.
