Doctors in a hospital in the Indian state of Kerala found a 4-cm-long cockroach inside the lung of a 55-year-old man after the patient complained of breathing problems.

The man went to the hospital asking to be examined for his condition, which had become very disturbing, without knowing the real cause of the problem and the cause of the pain he was suffering from.
Immediately, the hospital’s ear, nose, and throat department performed a bronchoscopy, and the result of the examination in the man’s lungs revealed the presence of a cockroach.
A team of doctors later removed the cockroach from the man’s lung after 8 hours of respiratory arrest.
Doctors claimed that the insect entered the man’s lung through a tube that was pierced in his neck to supply him with oxygen.
One of the doctors said that finding a cockroach inside a person’s lung is extremely rare, and the man may have forgotten to close the tube in his neck through which the insect entered.
It is noteworthy that the injured person has now been discharged from the hospital.
