In him, everyone is called to overcome the tendency to close themselves in their own situation and become open to meeting, sharing and solidarity.

On Saturday (21/01/23) at the Vatican, Pope Francis gave an address to the representatives of the organization of those who were disabled during military service or civil service in the Vatican.

Papa Avaro said that the limitation, the burden to be borne, does not disappear, it remains the same, but it acquires a different figurative meaning and that the condition of disability needs to be replaced by a “minor sign” instead of a “more sign”.

The Pope also recalled that the change from the negative to the positive is one of the essential elements of the mystery of Jesus Christ. Recalling that some were disabled while carrying out peacekeeping missions or maintaining public order, the Pope said that being peacemakers is the task of all, regardless of circumstances.

The Pope added that we must try to deal with conflicts in everyday life, avoiding all violence and oppression, and that it is not easy because sometimes one word is enough to hurt or hurt a brother or sister.
