Dharamshala: Indian batsman Ishan Kishan has been admitted to hospital with a head injury during the second T20I (IND vs SL 2nd T20I) match against Sri Lanka. Ishan was admitted to a hospital in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, the ANI news agency reported. The player underwent CT scanning and is being monitored by doctors. Sri Lankan batsman Dinesh Chandimal has also sought treatment for a finger injury sustained while fielding.

The medical team immediately examined the star but did not find any significant problems. With the resumption of Ishant batting, the teams and the fans were relieved. Ishant Kishan (16 off 15 balls with two fours) was followed by Lahiru’s own ball. After this, the star was admitted to the hospital for expert examination. However, the BCCI has not released further details about Ishant’s injury.
Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja’s superb batting helped India beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the second T20I to win the series 2-0. India won by eight wickets with 17 balls to spare. Score: Sri Lanka 183-5 in 20 overs and India 186-3 in 17.1 overs. Shreyas Iyer scored 74 * off 44 balls, Ravindra Jadeja 45 * off 18 balls and Sanju Samson 39 off 25 balls. Skipper Rohit Sharma was out for a run. Shreyas Iyer, who scored a half-century in the second match in a row, was India’s winner.
Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Nisanka was Sri Lanka’s top scorer with 75 off 53 balls. Gunathilaka scored 38 while skipper Dasun Shanaka smashed 47 off 19 balls in the final overs to give India a huge lead. In the last four overs, Sri Lanka scored 72 runs to strengthen the scoreboard.
The third and final T20I of the series starts today at 7 pm Indian time at Dharamshala. India may make changes to the playing XI as they have already won the series. It is hoped that the Malayalee player Sanju Samson, who was crushed yesterday, will still be on the field today. Sri Lanka is aiming for a consolation victory.
