Fatorda: North East United shocked Bengaluru FC in the Indian Super League (ISL 2022). Bangalore lost the decisive match. Bangalore lost by two goals to one. If they had won, Bangalore would have had a chance to reach the top four.
But Sunil Chhetri and his team wasted the golden opportunity. Bangalore lost after giving up the lead. Deshon Brown and Laldenmavia Ralte scored the goals for North East. Bangalore’s only goal was scored by Keaton Silva.
Bangalore had the upper hand in the ball, but North East had the most shots. But neither team was able to score in the first half. Bangalore took the lead in the 66th minute through Silva’s goal. Danish Farooq Bhatt came to the rescue.
The lifespan of the goal celebration was only eight minutes. Brown signed Northeast in the 74th minute. Joe Soharliana provided the assist for the North East equalizer. North East soon took the lead. Ralte scored in the 80th minute.
With the defeat, Bangalore remains in sixth position. They have 23 points from 17 games. The result was a defeat for them in the last two matches. Despite the win, North East is still in 10th place. They have only 13 points from 18 games.
Kerala Blasters will take on ATK Mohan Bagan tomorrow. If he wins, Mohan Bagan will come first. The Blazers also have a chance to make the top three.
