Just before the games in Spain: Maccabi Tel Aviv beat Ironi Kiryat Ata

Maccabi Tel Aviv opened its long and crowded week with an away victory over Kiryat Ata City 100-88 as part of a five-game away trip.

It was not a particularly easy game for the yellows who had a hard time against the host, but pressed the pedal in the last quarter and led by Yeftah Ziv won the game.

Jake Cohen was the man for the yellows in the first half, but the guest’s defense was unable to stop the energetic five of Sharon Abrahami and conceded 47 points by the break.

Back from the locker room, Maccabi Tel Aviv came up with renewed strength and the change of trend was felt in the third quarter and in the fourth quarter, the Yellows closed things off, while alongside Ziv, Darren Hilliard, Rafi Manko, Wade Baldwin and Roman Sorkin gave an excellent game.

On Tuesday the Yellows will play against Barcelona and on Thursday against Valencia as part of the Euroleague.
