Kaspersky Lab will provide solutions to protect the IT infrastructure of the competitions of the Sports Programming Federation of Russia, the company signed the corresponding agreement with the management of the organization, a representative of the association said.
The signed agreement provides for “free implementation of infrastructure protection solutions at competitions,” he told Vedomosti.
Kaspersky Lab confirmed the conclusion of the agreement. “Now we can’t name the exact number of competitions, but Kaspersky Lab has an extensive portfolio that will ensure the security of events identified by partners,” he told Vedomosti. The company sees the partnership as an opportunity to “build its talent pool in the IT industry.”
The Sports Programming Federation was established in October 2021 at the initiative of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. In April 2022, Russia became the first country in the world to officially recognize sports programming as a sport, the Federation said in a statement. Today, Federation branches are represented in 87 regions of Russia.
