Notre Dame’s Kyle Hamilton returned to limited practice on Thursday after sustaining a knee injury during Monday night’s game against the 49ers. This has put his playing status for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins in question. Despite earning AFC Defensive Player of the Week, Hamilton may sit out the pivotal game.
Wide receiver Zay Flowers also missed practice due to a calf injury. The team is also dealing with injuries to starting cornerback Brandon Stephens and linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips.
For the Dolphins, several key players, including running back Raheem Mostert and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, missed practice for the second straight day. All five starting offensive linemen were limited in practice, along with starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and key defensive players. It remains to be seen how these injuries will impact the Dolphins’ performance in Sunday’s game.
