Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly has vowed to strengthen efforts to prevent Russia’s aggression.
Russia has deployed more than 100,000 troops near the border with Ukraine.
In this context, Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Jolie will travel to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, next week to reaffirm support for Ukrainian sovereignty.
According to Melanie Joly, the concentration of Russian forces and weapons in Ukraine and its environs is affecting the security of the region as a whole. These acts of aggression must be prevented.
He said Canada would work with its international allies to establish a rule-based international order.
Melanie Joly is on her way to Ukraine to meet with Prime Minister Denys Shmygal.
He will travel to the western part of the country from 2015 to speak to a 200-member Canadian training team based in Ukraine.
Joly will meet NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels during her week-long visit, which begins on Sunday.
