In Chuvashia, from October 11, by order of the head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, the chief state sanitary doctor of the republic, Nadezhda Lugovskoy, mandatory vaccination of certain categories of the population from COVID-19 is introduced.
Employees of the following spheres are subject to compulsory vaccination:
- education;
- health care;
- social protection and social services;
- trade, catering establishments;
- beauty salons, cosmetic, spa, massage parlors, solariums, baths and saunas;
- fitness centers, fitness clubs, swimming pools;
- enterprises of consumer services, laundries, dry cleaners;
- client departments of banks and postal services;
- hotels;
- public transport, taxis;
- Housing and utilities and power engineering;
- MFC and employment centers;
- children’s playrooms, children’s entertainment centers;
- cinemas, theaters, theater and concert and cultural and leisure institutions;
- museums, exhibition halls, libraries.
As explained by and. O. Ivan Mikhailov, press secretary of the Rospotrebnadzor department in Chuvashia, is ordered by the resolution to be vaccinated with the first component or single-component vaccine by November 1, 2021, and the second component by December 1, 2021.
“According to the decree, at least 80% of the total number of employees should be vaccinated. Persons who have not been vaccinated within the specified time frame should be suspended from work or transferred to a remote mode at the discretion of the employer. Measures for the compulsory vaccination of certain categories of the adult population are being taken in connection with the continuing threat of the spread of a new coronavirus infection in Chuvashia and the strengthening of preventive measures for COVID-19, “Ivan Mikhailov noted.
How many adult citizens in Chuvashia are subject to compulsory vaccination – the Rospotrebnadzor department has not yet specified.
According to the Ministry of Health of Chuvashia, the daily growth rate of COVID-19 at 8 am on October 11 in the region was 99 people.
