Marina Aslanoglou: “That’s why I stayed away from television for 14 years, even though the phone was ringing”

“14 years ago, things were a little different, the demand was not as much as it used to be,” says Marina Aslanoglou.

Marina Aslanoglou was welcomed by Grigoris Arnaoutoglou, on Wednesday night, on the set of “The 2night Show” on the occasion of her participation in “Psychogirls” of ANT1. The beloved protagonist referred, among other things, to her many-year absence from television, explaining the reasons why she returned only last season to our small screen.

In particular, Marina Aslanoglou characteristically noted that “I stayed away from television for 14 years because I love the theater very much and I played demanding roles. Because I’m a person who wants to have a good time myself, to have a social life, to be able to go out, to be able to do things for myself, I’ve tried it and it’s exhausting (including the combination of TV and theater). Exhausting! So I had decided to only do theater, but you can’t always avoid it, it’s the truth.”

“So last year with “Do what you sleep” and this year, now, with “Psychokores” I am very happy. Of course the phone was ringing, although 14 years ago things were a little different. In other words, the demand was not as much as it used to be. But he kept knocking and I said no.”

“There was also a screenwriter who had called me and said: “I’m here on such and such a channel with the people in charge. You told me you were going to do TV, didn’t you?’ But it’s not that I rejected television, it’s just that you can’t shoot for 10 hours and then go to the theater. So when will I see me? I don’t tell you about my child or my friends, me? Now I did it again and… I remembered again what it’s like to not have a life”, added Marina Aslanoglou on the evening talk show of ANT1.
