Maruti is gearing up to launch a CNG version of its popular Grand Vitara.

Maruti, which dominates the Indian auto market not only in the petrol but also in the CNG segment, is a leading manufacturer of hybrid cars. The main reason why Maruti Suzuki is popular among people is its mileage. Maruti company is doubling this day by day. In this case, it is preparing to launch the CNG version of its first hybrid car, the Grand Vitara model. But the official launch date of the CNG version is yet to be announced. It is said that this car will reach the showrooms in the current month of December.

It is a mid-size SUV. It will be powered by a 1.5 liter K15C petrol mild hybrid engine. But compared to the regular petrol mild hybrid set-up, the power output of the CNG version might be a little less. But, in terms of mileage, this CNG version will surely attract the customers. Because it will be able to provide 26.10 km mileage per kg. Apart from this, it will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Apart from that, this new Grand Vitara CNG comes with factory fitted CNG kit.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara currently on sale is available in 9 colors namely Arctic White, Opulent Red, Celestial Blue, Splendid Silver, Midnight Black, Chestnut Bronze, Grandeur Grey, Splendid Silver with Midnight Black and Arctic White with Midnight Black. Compared to the petrol mild hybrid variants, the price of the CNG version may be higher by Rs 75,000 to Rs 95,000.

Following the Grand Vitara CNG car, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG version of the Brezza sub-4 meter compact SUV is said to be launched. Apart from that, this Brezza CNG version is said to be available in the Indian market by the end of this year or the beginning of next year 2023.
